Food Fight Frenzy
Gameplay
Food Fight Frenzy, from Ultra PRO Entertainment, comes with 72 character tiles and 13 food dice. Each die, as you may have guessed, has a different classic food fight food on each side: blueberries, pizza, a banana, an Oreo, broccoli, or Ketchup. Each food is matched to a character tile, each of which has an illustration of an animal facing that food in a food fight: blueberries being launched at an open-mouthed bear, a Ketchup bottle falling on the head of an unsuspecting dog, a puffin being hit in the face with a slice of pizza, another dog being hit in the face with a crown of broccoli, a banana smushed on the face of a cat, and a chicken covering its face as Oreos are pelted at it.
The object of the game is to get rid of all your tiles. After divvying up the tiles between players, each player places five of them face-up in front of them. The youngest player roles the dice (11 for a game of 2 or 3, 12 for a game of 4 or 5, and all 13 for a game of 6 players). Once the dice settle, the roller yells, “Go!” and a mad dash ensues. All players rush to place their tiles on matching die: the bear tile on top of the blueberries die, the puffin on top of the pizza die, and so on. Only one tile can be placed at a time and no stacking allowed. If a player can’t place a tile, either because there’s no matches or they have no more face-up tiles, they can yell, “Stop!” Everyone then must stop after placing at least one tile. At the end of the round, discard the tiles placed on top of the dice. To begin the next round, refill the 5 face-up tiles in front of you and the next player roles the die.

History
Food Fight Frenzy was invented by Kim Vandenbroucke, who’s always known she’s wanted to be an inventor. She earned a degree in Industrial Design and joined Meyer/Glass Design, a spin off from the original Marvin Glass & Associates, and soon enough had created her very first game: Cover to Cover, which ended up being licensed by Hasbro.
In 2006, she founded Brainy Chick, through which she invents, designs, and develops toy and game concepts. She’s been nominated for a TAGIE Award 3 times, was a finalist for Play Creators Kids/Family Game Designer of the year and was listed in the Mojo Nation Top 100 Most Influential People in Toys and Games multiple times.
